Figure 03 humanoid robot

Overview

Figure 03 is the third-generation humanoid robot developed by Figure AI, building on prior prototypes with redesigned hardware, improved perception, and tighter integration with foundation-model-based control. The platform targets general-purpose tasks requiring bimanual manipulation and safe operation around humans. Publicly verified performance data remains limited as the system is still in active development.

Figure 03 was announced in October 2025. According to Figure AI, the hardware was redesigned ground-up for Helix, the company's proprietary vision-language-action model, which processes visual and language inputs to generate physical actions without task-specific training. The camera system delivers twice the frame rate, one-quarter the latency, and a 60% wider field of view compared to Figure 02, with a camera in each palm. Tactile sensors in the fingertips detect forces as small as 3 grams, per Figure AI's announcement.

Figure 03 supports wireless inductive charging at 2 kW via coils in the robot's feet — it steps onto a charging stand and docks autonomously. The robot is covered in soft textiles and foam rather than a hard shell, a design choice Figure AI attributes to home safety requirements. The OpenAI partnership that supported earlier Figure generations ended in February 2025; Figure 03 runs entirely on the in-house Helix model.

Figure AI manufactures Figure 03 at BotQ, its dedicated production facility, which the company states has an initial capacity of 12,000 units per year with a target of 100,000 units over four years. Figure AI has not publicly confirmed pricing or a consumer release date as of mid-2026. The company's Series C, closed September 2025, valued Figure AI at $39 billion according to Figure AI's own announcement.
