Walker S2 humanoid robot

Overview

Walker S2 is UBTECH’s next-generation industrial humanoid platform focused on continuous autonomous operation in manufacturing and logistics environments. Its defining capability is autonomous battery replacement, enabling 24/7 operation without human intervention. The platform combines dexterous manipulation, semantic navigation, multimodal perception, and embodied AI planning for industrial deployment scenarios.

Walker S2 stands 1.76 meters tall and has 52 degrees of freedom, including fourth-generation industrial-grade dexterous hands, according to UBTECH’s July 2025 product launch. Payload capacity is 15 kg within a 0–1.8 m vertical workspace. Waist rotation is ±162°. Top walking speed is 2 m/s. The dexterous hands are built to human-scale dimensions and have been durability-tested to over 80,000 cycles per UBTECH. Perception uses a passive binocular RGB stereo vision system in the head — no depth sensors — with deep learning-based stereo depth estimation to generate real-time dense depth maps.

The AI stack runs UBTECH’s Co-Agent system, described as the industry’s first industrial agent for humanoid robots, combined with BrainNet 2.0 for swarm coordination across multi-robot deployments. Co-Agent integrates multimodal reasoning, embodied interaction models, and skill-specific models. Walker S2 can connect to manufacturing execution systems and autonomous mobile robots for coordinated task execution, per UBTECH’s industrial solutions page.

Walker S2’s headline feature is autonomous battery swapping: the robot navigates to a battery swap station, performs a coordinated dual-arm exchange, and resumes work within 3 minutes — enabling 24/7 operation without human intervention, according to UBTECH. Mass production and delivery began in November 2025, per UBTECH’s company timeline. UBTECH has confirmed deployments at BYD, NIO, FAW-Volkswagen, and Foxconn facilities.
