Overview
Walker C is UBTECH’s consumer-focused humanoid robot platform designed for home environments and human-centric interaction. The system combines multimodal AI, dexterous manipulation, semantic navigation, and whole-body coordination to support domestic assistance tasks including object delivery, household interaction, and personalized companionship.
Walker C stands 163 cm tall and weighs 43 kg, per UBTECH’s official product page. It has 20 degrees of freedom. Top walking speed is 6 km/h (1.67 m/s), described by UBTECH as all-terrain steady walking. The sensor suite includes two RGBD cameras, an all-scenario binocular structured light 3D camera, and a high-precision IMU. Arm wingspan is 500 mm per arm, each weighing 5 kg. Battery is a 48V 15Ah lithium pack; charging takes 1.5 hours, walking runtime is approximately 2 hours, and standing runtime is approximately 4 hours. Connectivity is WiFi and Bluetooth. Open interfaces include a joint control interface and communication interface.
Walker C is powered by UBTECH’s self-developed Embodied Interactive Large Model, which supports multilingual interaction. The navigation system is UBTECH’s U-SLAM, enabling autonomous route planning for guided tours. UBTECH describes the robot as capable of proactive greeting, customised Q&A from enterprise knowledge bases, voice broadcasting, and adaptive narration across multiple languages.
UBTECH positions Walker C exclusively for commercial service scenarios: exhibition hall guided tours, office building reception, service centre Q&A, shopping malls, transport hubs, and public entertainment. Confirmed deployments include the China Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka and the 2025 Spring Banquet of Guangdong Province in Hong Kong. Walker C is not designed for industrial manufacturing tasks.
